Darshana Arts to distribute B’wood movies in Nepal

KATHMANDU: The trend of watching Bollywood movies is at peak not only in India but in Nepal also. Till date QFX Cinemas and Gopi Krishna Movies have been distributing such movies here. However, a new name has been added in the list of distributors of Bollywood movies in Nepal — Darshana Arts Pvt Ltd. The company will start the distribution with Ramaiya Vastavaiya — a movie directed by Prabhu Deva. In a press meet organised at Hotel de l’ Annapurna on July 17, Deepak Adhikari, Managing Director of Darshana Arts revealed that he was learning about Bollywood film industry in Mumbai that inspired him to work for their distribution in Nepal. He plans to work for the development of Nepali movies too. “As such we will try to release Nepali movies in other countries too,” he informed. Debutante Girish Kumar and Shruti Hassan are in the lead roles of Ramaiya Vastavaiya . During the press meet, Kumar talked to the journalists via Skype. “The movie is a complete family entertainer and I hope Nepali audience will like it. I had a great experience working with my co-actor.” The other movies lined up to be released by Darshana Arts Pvt Ltd are Chennai Express, Fata Poster Nikla Hero and Once Upon A Time In Mumbai 2.
